4 Websites That Pay You For Your Creativity

I continue to notice that there is a never-ending supply of people who want to work online, but when they do, most end up quitting. I don't believe in the quote, "Working online isn't for everyone." That's like saying a person isn't capable of working for a living.

It isn't the working online that gets to people, it's what they do as an online job that does. One of the main reasons I think this probably exists is because workers aren't doing something that will hold their interest in the long run. It has to be a job that they find interesting, simple, purposeful, and pays well.

That brings me to the whole point of this post. I wanted to find a couple of different online opportunities that will help those online workers who are looking for something extra. If you enjoy a job that unlocks your creativity and will hold your interest, then these four options might be for you.

Taste Book is a simple method to creating your own cookbook. They make the process simple. All you need to do is choose what recipes you want in your book, design your cover and dedication page.

The Game Crafter is where you can sell your own custom board or card game. This is great for game designers.

Spoon Flower is a lovely opportunity for designers. You can create your own fabric, wallpaper, decals, and gift wrapping designs and sell them here.

Paper.li lets you create your own online newspaper or newsletter that can easily bring more traffic and revenue to you and your website.

Hayao Miyazaki's Latest Animated Film: 'The Wind Rises'

I can hardly believe it has been six years since Miyazaki's last film, "Ponyo". I don't know what it is, but I seem to fall in love with every one of his movies. I get very emotional when I see the ending credits roll. This man is a mastermind in making epic animated films that have yet to be beaten as a whole.

"The Wind Rises" is based on a novel, with the same name, by Tatsuo Hoshi and the manga by Miyazaki himself. The film is set in the World War II era. It details the main character, Jirc Horikoshi an aircraft engineer who is well known for his design work on the Mitsubishi A6M Reisen "Zero". (Japan's famous World War II fighter aircraft).

The film is being released July 20, 2013 in Japan, but the U.S. release date is yet to be announced. I can't wait to grab the DVD when it hits the market. Below, you can watch a short teaser of the film. Note: the teaser is in Japanese since it's not debuted yet in America.

4 Updates On Websites You Should Know About

I never thought I would be making a post such as this one. There are a lot of websites out there that are getting updated frequently or changing something. But that's not what this post is about. I've been letting these 4 site updates sit in my bookmarks, trying to figure out how I was going to fit them in a post.

I could have written about each one in a separate blog post, but like I stated,  they're only updates you should know about, nothing too major. I believe many people can benefit from these updates and use them the way they see fit.

Pinopinion is a new website that is networked with Blogtopsites, Bloglog, and Blogclans. Pinopinion has been developed with bloggers in mind to offer them a way to interact, engage, and attract visitors to their blogs. What you do is make polls (also called opinion pins), and insert them on your blog. It's free and it will get you traffic and exposure through their other networks mentioned above.

Duolingo is an unique language learning tool that I've used, on and off, for French. It's like a learning game that can get addictive. Your goal is to not lose any hearts (your life points) by answering incorrectly. Duolingo has been around for a while, but their new app hasn't. They have their app available on iPhone and all Android devices. It will be available on IPAD on July 11, 2013.

Remember my post about Smarterbucks? Well in case you didn't know, Smarterbucks is a rewards program that helps you pay down on your student loans. They recently added another convenient option to earn Smarterbucks for your loans: surveys. I think that was an excellent idea for them because people always like giving their opinion, especially if they're benefiting from it.

Yesstyle is having their 7th Anniversary sale. I'm very excited because there is a lot of stylish stuff that's up to 80% off. Who wouldn't love that? They are giving $10 off with the use of their coupon code. Unfortunately, this offer only lasts until July 29, 2013. Look at some of the stuff they have on sale below.

4 Ways To Benefit From Recycling

Tired of recycling and not benefiting from your hard efforts? Do you want confirmation that your recycling is going to a good cause? Check out these 4 websites that make it worth your time.

Recyclebank rewards you and the planet. If you want to live a greener lifestyle and get rewarded for it, then Recyclebank is right for you. Recyclebank revolves around you taking pledges and actions to recycle at home. You get points for all your actions/pledges that can be redeemed for rewards.

GBrecycle (GreenBean Recycle) is very interesting. They are only in select cities and states for now, but they continue to expand. I encourage the people who live near one of their machines to use it. You need to register at their site or at a nearby GB machine. Once you've done that, you can start recycling your bottles and cans at any of their GB machines. You can check their site to keep track of your results, real-time sustainability stats, and create your profile.  They also have challenges you can do on their website to win cash and prizes. Direct electronic refunds can be sent to your Paypal or a charity.

TerraCycle eliminates the idea of waste. They have a simple elimination process. Once you sign up, you join one, or more, of their Brigade programs. Then you collect and send your waste to them. You can download their shipping label from your account and once your waste is processed, they will credit your account with points. 1 TerraCycle point is the equal to $0.01. You get the option to donate your money to the non-profit organization or school of your choice or it can be used for charitable gifts too.

Earth911 is a website that helps you fight against waste, save money, time, and resources by giving you innovative ideas and examples. Earth911 has many different ways you can use your waste/recyclables again and again.

Get Rewarded For Exercising

Exercising is a must for most people's everyday life. Then there are those of us who hate exercising or don't find enough time to set aside for it. There's always something that stops us from doing the things we know we should be doing.

I realized yesterday that I've been slacking on my push-ups, sit-ups, and running. Push-ups and sit-ups come easily to me, but running is another story. For some reason I'm having a hard time catching my breath these days. I have trouble trying to stop myself from passing out more than anything else.

As I got to thinking, I thought that maybe I needed something to motivate me to do exercise more often. So I looked through some of my bookmarks because I save lots of articles, sites, and other ideas for my posts. I came across two lonely apps that could help motivate me more.

Nexercise is an app that's available for both iPhones and androids. Nexercise's purpose is that they can help you stay motivated with their point system. For every exercise you choose to do, your smartphone keeps track of  the length of your workout and the effort put into it. The more points you get, the better chance there is for you to win their prizes. They give away gift cards, discounts, and other free stuff.

Earndit is a cute, little website that rewards you for earning points for exercising. They require you to connect a tracking device with them so that they can keep track of your progress. You get the option of competing in challenges and check on your rankings to see how you're fairing. What I like about Earndit is that once you accumulated enough points, you get to choose your rewards. You can also refer your friends for 100 credits or brag about your accomplishments for 20 credits. It's like a fun game that you can play everyday.

Get Rewarded For Eating Out

You might be thinking, "Really?" Yes, really. I've come across three reward-like programs that reward you for eating out at your favorite restaurants. If you're the kind of person that eat out often, then this opportunity would be hard for you to miss out on.

This is also a good opportunity for those who can't cook; therefore, they eat out everyday. Or people who live frugally and love to save money whenever they have the chance to.

Mogul is a fun way to earn cash back for eating out at all your favorite restaurants. Once you sign up and register one of your credit/debit cards, you can earn 10%  cash back every time you use your card at a restaurant. They pay monthly and help you get exclusive VIP benefits. I like that they have fun games they run on their website: You can try to win the jackpot by competing with other users to see who earned the most money, and if you spend over $20 they will donate a meal to someone in need.

Plink is just like Mogul in regards to registering your credit/debit card and using it while you dine out. The only major difference is that Plink doesn't give you cash-back, they reward you with gift cards. There isn't any harm with joining both of them.

Savored is a company made by Groupon. It's only available in a couple of major cities. The concept is very promising. You get the option of using their service to make reservations for you, and they look for the best seats at a discounted price. You don't really get rewarded anything but you do end up saving up to 40%. I think that's reward enough.

4 Online Ideas To Make Your Weekend Less Boring

It's the weekend and you don't have any major plans. You might end up being like me and stay on your computer for the better part of the day. I don't know about you, but I would like a break from all the business, work, and searching the web. So I took the time to look up some fun things you can do this weekend.

You don't have to thank me now, you can thank me later. Some of them you might have heard or used, but I bet (hope) you haven't used them all. Try one of these options when you want a little break during out the day.

Play a free online browser game. You don't have to download this baby, it's all played on their website. Urban-rivals is a cool card game where you use the characters/cards in your deck to fight against people all around the world - real-time.

Just because you're staying in for the weekend doesn't mean you can't shop. I know that there are plenty of websites online you could choose to shop from, but I figured I should add one that would benefit its customers more. Big Crumbs is a cash-back shopping website that gives you great deals from most of the stores you already shop from.

Codecademy is a resourceful website that I use everyday. The reason why is because I use their lessons to learn HTML, JQuery, Javascript, and more. I basically had no clue how to make my own websites from scratch, but since joining with them, I've been getting more confident with my skills. Try them out this weekend if you want to learn how to code. I'll be posting about my progress with them one day soon.

Lastly, I have SellABand. Invest your time this weekend! At Sell A Band you can search through thousands of artists' profiles and listen to some of their music. If you like what you are seeing and hearing then you have the option of supporting them by helping them raise funds. You'll be kept updated with them throughout funding them. Once they reach their funding goal, because of you and other believers (funders), you'll be rewarded with free stuff like exclusive t-shirts, CDs, downloads, etc.

Have fun and enjoy your weekend.
