4 Online Ideas To Make Your Weekend Less Boring

It's the weekend and you don't have any major plans. You might end up being like me and stay on your computer for the better part of the day. I don't know about you, but I would like a break from all the business, work, and searching the web. So I took the time to look up some fun things you can do this weekend.

You don't have to thank me now, you can thank me later. Some of them you might have heard or used, but I bet (hope) you haven't used them all. Try one of these options when you want a little break during out the day.

Play a free online browser game. You don't have to download this baby, it's all played on their website. Urban-rivals is a cool card game where you use the characters/cards in your deck to fight against people all around the world - real-time.

Just because you're staying in for the weekend doesn't mean you can't shop. I know that there are plenty of websites online you could choose to shop from, but I figured I should add one that would benefit its customers more. Big Crumbs is a cash-back shopping website that gives you great deals from most of the stores you already shop from.

Codecademy is a resourceful website that I use everyday. The reason why is because I use their lessons to learn HTML, JQuery, Javascript, and more. I basically had no clue how to make my own websites from scratch, but since joining with them, I've been getting more confident with my skills. Try them out this weekend if you want to learn how to code. I'll be posting about my progress with them one day soon.

Lastly, I have SellABand. Invest your time this weekend! At Sell A Band you can search through thousands of artists' profiles and listen to some of their music. If you like what you are seeing and hearing then you have the option of supporting them by helping them raise funds. You'll be kept updated with them throughout funding them. Once they reach their funding goal, because of you and other believers (funders), you'll be rewarded with free stuff like exclusive t-shirts, CDs, downloads, etc.

Have fun and enjoy your weekend.

3 Simple Ways To Manage And Pay Off Your Student Loans

Let's face it. Student loans are one of college students' worst nightmares. As a college student, I know that they are a pain in the butt. Sometimes I think I should have avoided ever taking out a student loan, but I have to admit that they helped me in their own way.

Enough of that. I want to prove to all current and future college students that all is not lost. I know I won't feel too stressed out when the time comes to pay back my loans because I have found three online methods to help me out. Let's take a look.

Upromise allows you to earn money for college by making everyday purchases. You can shop through Upromise, eat at their participating restaurants, grocery shop, or even invite family and friends to earn more money. The money you earn goes to your Upromise account. They give you an option to choose if you want to invest your cash-back earnings in a high-yield savings account, tax-deferred 529 plan, or to pay down on your college loans. You can even request a check to spend your money on any other expenses you choose to.

Smarterbucks is a rewards program that helps you pay down on your student loans. All you need to do is shop like you normally would in Smartbucks' marketplace and receive cash back that automatically goes to pay off your loan(s). They use a system where you sign up with their bank, "Smarter Bank" and get an online checking account with them. With it you will get their Visa debit card to use on groceries, etc. to earn more money.

Tuition.io manages your student loans for free. You can use them to manage all your student loans. That includes private and federal loans. I find this is a good way to track how much you owe. I can never keep track of the amount for some reason. I plan to start using these websites as soon as possible. I hope you will too.
